The Comprehensive Testing Program shows the results of the North Andover Wheelabrator facility for parameters that the EPA and Massachusetts DEP require each facility to perform every nine months.
The North Andover facility has performed testing on a quarterly basis since the 2001 air pollution retrofit for the Town of North Andover. The facility tests for dioxin and furans and the results show that the facility has complied with all state and federal requirements.
These reports deal with our reporting requirements that informs the Massachusetts DEP of any times that the facility had exceptions. These are from startup/shutdowns/malfunctions (equipment failures) which contributes to lost times of operations. These results for the semi-annual and annual reports are also available on the Massachusetts DEP web page.
