SEMI-ANNUAL REPORTING FOR CONTINUOUS MONITORING SYSTEMS AND STACK TESTING
MWC UNIT # POLLUTANT OR PARAMETER START DATE TIME OF EXCESS EMISSIONS MONITORED LEVEL APPLICABLE LIMIT SPECIFIC REASON FOR EXCESS CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN
2 SO2 1/25/2007 0000 2359 35 29 STARTUP - Unable to inject sufficient slurry to control SO2 due to low SDA inlet temperatures following annual maintenance activities, average based on 10 hours of operation. The event was impacted by the first two hours of start-up. Increased unit load and slurry feed according to the manufacturer's startup curve for safe operation.
2 CO 4/24/2007 0000 0359 74 69 MALFUNCTION - Turbine Generator tripped as a result of outside utility malfunction. Combustion controller in manual and utilized gas to minimize emission until permission received to tie in again.
1 CO 5/4/2007 2000 2359 126 69 SHUTDOWN - removed MSW ASAP from grates--average based on 1 hour of operations. Gas burned during shutdown to minimize emissions.
1 SO2 5/7/2007 0000 2359 41 29 MALFUNCTION - loss of facility air supplying compressors during restart of plant after scheduled outage--average based on 4 hours of operations. Restarted air supply system throughout plant along with unit load and slurry feed.
1 CO 5/8/2007 1200 1559 299 69 SHUTDOWN - removed MSW ASAP from grates--average based on 1 hour of operations. Gas burned during shutdown to minimize emissions.
1 CO 5/21/2007 2000 2359 123 69 SHUTDOWN - removed MSW ASAP from grates--average based on 1 hour of operations. Gas burned during shutdown to minimize emissions.
2 CO 6/17/2007 2000 2359 218 69 MALFUNCTION - loss of vacuum on turbine generator due to steam and air valves not opening resulted in trip from the utility--average based on 4 hours of operations. Gas burned during shutdown to minimize emissions.
